Which link works

You need a link to a specific public Reels, video post, or IGTV on instagram.com. Addresses like /reel/…, /p/…, and /tv/… all work. A link to an entire profile, to Stories, or to a private account will not work for downloading.

  • The clip must open without logging into someone else's account
  • For a carousel, the service grabs the first video slide; a photo with no video cannot be downloaded
  • No sign-up on saved.video and no browser extensions are needed

How to download Instagram video from a link

  1. Copy the URL - In the Instagram app: "Share" → "Copy Link". In a browser, you can just copy the clip's page address.
  2. Open saved.video - Go to the "Download Instagram Video" tool and paste the URL into the field.
  3. Find the options - Click the search button and wait for the title, preview, and list of available qualities.
  4. Download the video - Pick a quality. The MP4 will save using your browser's standard download.

On phone or computer

On Android, the file usually lands in the "Downloads" folder. On iPhone, you can open the download through Safari and the Files app, then save the video to "Photos". On a computer, the browser uses your chosen downloads folder.

Quality and watermarks

saved.video shows the options that Instagram provides for a given link and does not add its own watermark. Any logo or caption the author already embedded in the clip stays part of the file. The product does not offer extracting a separate MP3 or "Reels audio".

If the video won't download

  • Make sure the link points to a Reels, /p/, or /tv/ page, not a profile or Stories
  • Check that the post is public and hasn't been deleted
  • Copy the link again using the "Share" menu
  • If Instagram applies a temporary limit, wait a minute and try again
  • Allow your browser to download files from saved.video
