How to Download Instagram Video on Your Phone

No third-party APKs or bots: the same browser tool as on desktop, with a few Android and iPhone specifics.

Download from Instagram on Phone

Why a browser instead of a separate app

Third-party "download Instagram" apps often ask for excessive permissions, show ads, or simply stop working. Browser-based saved.video does not install anything on your phone: you open the site, paste the link, and save the file as a regular download in Chrome or Safari.

The limits are the same as on desktop: only public Reels, video posts, and IGTV; no Stories, no private accounts, and no separate MP3.

Android: Chrome and other browsers

  1. Copy the link - In the Instagram app: "Share" → "Copy link". Or open the video in a browser and copy the address bar URL.
  2. Paste it into saved.video - Open the site in your browser, go to the Instagram tool, and paste the link.
  3. Save the file - Choose a quality. The file usually lands in "Downloads". Open it via "Files" or your gallery app.

iPhone and iPad (Safari / Chrome)

iOS has no familiar "Downloads" folder like Android, but the browser can save files to the Files app. The process is the same: copy the link → saved.video → pick a quality → save.

  1. Copy the link from Instagram - "Share" → "Copy link".
  2. Open saved.video in Safari or Chrome - Paste the link and wait for the quality options.
  3. Save to "Files" or "Photos" - After downloading, the system will offer to open or save the file. Choose "Files", then save the video to "Photos" afterward if you need to.

If it's not working on your phone

  • Make sure the link points to a public Reel or video post, not to Stories
  • Copy the URL again without any extra text
  • Try a different browser (Chrome on Android, Safari on iPhone)
  • Check that your device has enough free storage
