How to Download Instagram Reels from a Link

Download Instagram Reels from a link with saved.video: copy a URL like instagram.com/reel/…, paste it into the tool, and save the MP4. There's no separate "Reels mode" - it uses the same form as any Instagram video.

How Reels differ when downloading

For downloading purposes, Reels are almost identical to regular video posts: you just need a direct public link. The URL usually contains /reel/ or /reels/ in its path - saved.video accepts these the same way it accepts /p/… links.

Files are short, so even high quality usually stays small in size. There is no separate audio extraction ("Reels music", MP3) on the service - only an MP4 video file. Stories and private accounts are not supported.

How to download Instagram Reels from a link

  1. Copy the link to the Reel - In the app or on the website: "Share" → "Copy link". Make sure it points to a single video, not a feed or a profile.
  2. Paste it into the Instagram tool - Open "Download Video from Instagram" on saved.video and paste the URL.
  3. Choose the quality - The list depends on the video. 720p is usually enough for a phone; on a PC you can grab the highest quality available.
  4. Save the file - Click a quality option - your browser will download the MP4. On a phone it lands in Downloads or "Files".

On your phone

On Android the file usually saves to "Downloads". On iPhone, open the download through Safari and "Files", then save the video to "Photos" if needed.

If the Reel won't download

  • Check that the URL contains /reel/… and opens without logging in
  • Don't use a link to a Story, a draft, or a private account
  • Copy the link again from the "Share" menu
  • Wait a minute if Instagram is temporarily rate-limiting you, then try again
