How to Download VK Video on Your Phone

How the mobile flow differs

The logic is the same: VK OAuth, a link to the clip, downloading through saved.video. On a phone, people usually copy the link from the VK app rather than from a desktop browser address bar. OAuth also runs in the mobile browser - after the redirect, be sure to copy the full URL, including the access_token.

Step by step on your phone

1. Copy the link in VK - Open the video or clip, tap "Share," and copy the link. Both vk.com and vkvideo.ru links work.
2. Open saved.video in your browser - Chrome on Android or Safari/Chrome on iPhone. Go to "Download VK video."
3. Sign in with VK - Grant access to your videos. After you land back on the page, copy the full address from the browser bar (with the token) and paste it into the form on the site.
4. Paste the video link and download - Paste the video URL you copied earlier, locate the file, and tap download. On Android, check "Downloads"; on iPhone, check "Files."

On Android, the file usually shows up right away in the download notification and in the Files app. On iPhone, after downloading choose to save it to "Files" - otherwise the browser may only offer to open a preview.

If the download isn't working

• Your VK session expired - sign in again and paste a new URL after OAuth
• The link points to a playlist or profile - you need a specific video/clip link
• The browser is blocking downloads - allow them for the site
• The clip is restricted for your account - the API won't return the file
